Replacement Components
The regular Sterasyl filter cartridge containing only silver-impregnated ceramic is not available for purchase online, but the upgraded Super Sterasyl, containing activated carbon for additional chemicals removal is available for sale online for $22.
Lifecycle
It is recommended to change the filter cartridges every 12 months for the daily use of a 4 person.
Manufacturer Specified Performance Parameters
Each Sterasyl filter candle is designed to filter 10,000 liters and last a family 12 months. The Household filter kit contains 2, 3 or 4 ceramic filter candles, with an expected flow rate of output of up to 1 liter per candle per hour.
