The SATMED is an e-health platform that enables satellite connectivity. Different health care providers use this tool, including institutes for global health, hospitals, and medical universities.
The purpose of the product is to help healthcare providers make use of information technologies and various mobile health solutions in underserved areas. The main services offered are satellite connectivity, data storage and offline capabilities, and different e-health applications.
The platform was developed by SES S.A., based in Luxembourg.
