The goal of this project is to develop a second generation Solaris Offgrid Smart Batter (SOSB), batteries used to power solar home systems in rural Africa where there is no access to the energy grid. The Fellow will support in the design of electronic circuits and engineering PCBs, prototype and assemble PCBs, program microcontrollers, test and report on prototypes, and develop end-of-life and maintenance best practices.
