Design and development of a parametric model to convert 3D scans into upper limb prostheses
The goal of this project is to support Life and Limb in providing low cost, custom upper limb prosthetics to amputees. Specifically, the Fellow will support in setting up an end-to-end process of recording a patientÔÇÖs hand data through 3D scanning, creating a 3D model, fine-tuning the 3D model using parametric modeling, and then 3D printing the prostheses using specialized technologies like Multi-Jet Fusion. The FellowÔÇÖs main responsibility will be the parametric modeling.
