About Francisco Plaza

Francisco is from Quito, Ecuador. He received his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from University San Francisco de Quito in May 2020. He studied a year abroad at Purdue University where he focused on energy systems and product design. During the pandemic, he designed a novel desalination technology for low-income Ecuadorian coastal communities. He is a voracious learner and an outdoor's sports enthusiast.
