Design Specifications

The Driptech Instakit includes drip tape, takeoff valves, rubber grommets, a filter, and a hand drill tool. Additional materials necessary include PVC pipe (40, 50 or 63mm diameters), PVC fittings, and connection to a water pump or water tank. The system is comprised of a head unit that is connected to the water source and the sub-unit, which is the water transport system. The lateral rolls are the 'at-the-plant' water distributors. The head unit controls pressure as well as filtration. The Driptech system uses a mesh-type screen filter, which allows farmers to clean it by flushing it with water. The sub-unit delivers water to the drip tape lateral rolls.
