The Viva Family Tent by NRS Relief is a 23 m² single family emergency shelter. It is available for delivery to effected areas in a large roll for assembly on site. The shelter is made of fire retardant material that is also waterproof, rotproof, and UV-stabilized.

The Viva Family Tent is designed for post disaster conditions and has a footprint that complies to recommended minimum living area in hot and temperate climates (3.5 m² per person), while providing extra space for cold climates.

Design Specifications

The Viva Family Tent consists of a roof and walls, all made from polycotton fabric with a polyethylene base, that are stretched over a metal structure and tied to the ground with pegs. The tent is waterproof, rotproof, and UV-stabilized. Users can purchase fire retardant or non-fire retardant options. Interior space is divided into one main floor area (16 m²) and two 3.5 m² vestibules (7 m² total). The outer tent (roof and walls) has the following dimensions: -Centre height of 2.20 m -Width of 4.00 m -Ridge length of 4.00 m -Side wall height of 1.25 m -Centre base length of 6.60 m. The tent has large windows that are 360 wide and 60 cm in height. Door flaps are 1.40 m x 1.60 m. The technical specifications of the Viva Family Tent lists the following structural poles in the kit: (2) upright poles - 2.20 m length (25 x 1.20 mm diameter) (1) center upright pole - 2.17 m length (25 x 1.20 mm diameter) (6) side poles - 1.26 m length (19 x 1.25 mm diameter) (4) door poles - 1.40 m length (19 x 1.25 mm diameter) A customized logo can be added to the tent as well. For packaging and shipping the tents are generally packed into a cage with 15 tents per cage, weighing approximately 890 kg.
