Design Specifications

Spectra Aquifer 360 is corrosive resistant and built to survive outdoor environments. The unit pumps water approximately 6 L/min to the reverse osmosis membrane. Feed water is filtered through three stages. The first stage removes large debris through a strainer and keeps the intake several inches from the bottom. Water then passes through an 80 mesh screen and a 5 micron pre-filter to protect the pump from silt, algae and abrasive particles. 10% of the water the passes through the membrane is purified water. The remaining water is returned to the source as concentrated brine. Nothing is retained within the system. The handheld salinity tester measures the total dissolved solids (TDS) of the purified water. When the TDS is <750 parts per million (PPM), the purified water can be stored for usage.
