Design Specifications

WDU has some special design features such as built-in RFID Technology for smart card dispensation. The water is cleaned through 6 stage filtration process including reverse osmosis and UV+ sterilization. The system gives automatic alerts to refill the water storage tank when it reaches low level and operates on solar power with a back up battery for 2 hours of additional power. The system can dispense water in quantities between 500 ml to 2 L. WDU has a water storage tank, optional dispensing pump, one dispensing tap and power system consisting of a solar panel, inverter and battery which can extend the safe water coverage area. It also has a built-in RFID Technology for smart card dispensation.

WDU ensures the technical sustainability as it complies with the Indian Drinking water standards (IS 10500). In Nigeria and Ghana, WaterHealth Centers conforms to the drinking water standards of GS 175-1: 2013 4th Edition and NIS 554: 2007 regulated by Environment Protection Agency (EPA).

The product has been tested in laboratories (chemical and microbiological) and water samples are tested in external NABL certified laboratories every year.
